Need help with new mods.

With a good custom tune and a 2.5" pulley, 60lb injectors, intake, and full exhaust but NO cooling, will I be fine?

Or will i be in danger of blowing up the engine?

Who all has these mods and a custom tune and how does the car run?

A 2.5" pulley is going to create some serious heat, I would say that you would definalty benefit from cooling mods and it would be much safer. So all in all, I would say go with some cooling mods as well.

I would run a 2.6" pulley with that setup. It'll keep things cooler until you do the dual pass mod and a front mount HE.

The dual pass will definatly help you out a good bit. Throw in a Cobra H/E and you should be set up very nicely.

Quick question, could you do a CA h/c and a dual pass plate or do they cancel each other out?

You can do both, would actually be the more desirable option, but would the CA heat-exchanger be enough by itself? for the mods i'm looking to do?

Whats the negatives of running hot? besides being robber of hp?

Aside from ^^^^ BOOM and loss of performance, it is also more strain on the engine.

Do the dual pass mod first if you are strapped for cash. Then upgrade the HE for a killer combo.

Which one does more for cooling?

Because with all aditional hardware and surge tank on the end plate they end up being the same price.

Also how much more heat does the 2.5" create over the 2.6"

I believe the 2.6" pulley just barely goes over the superchargers redline. The 2.5" screams over the redline creating more heat and not hardly anymore power when tuned correctly.

you would be much safer/reliable with a 2.6".... i dont think you will see much more power and the blower will be at it's absolute limits.

I agree, the 2.6" will be more safer/reliable and better off in the long run. If you do the dual pass and the H/E, then you'll be set.
