Need Low End Power!

I was wondering what I need to do to get more power a low RPMS. Or is it even possible with our cars? Second gear blows until you get to 3 or 4000 RPMS. Will the header, downpipe and exhaust take care of that problem?

Oh, and this is off the subject but do you need to align the backend after a spring install?

Anyone?

Who makes those?

Did you have to align the back end with the sportlines?

full exhaust will make your low-end worse.

you should align your car after any suspension upgrades/changes.

Why is that? I thought it would increase more airflow which would increas more pull.

I know I need an alignment but do I need a 4 wheel alignment or do they just need to align the front end? They want another 30 or 40 dollars to do four wheel?

What are your mods? You can't be running the 42# injectors?

Is the smaller pulley the only thing that will make it pull harder?

do you really wanna know cuz its alot lol. 2.5 pulley, intense for the pulley, oversized tensioner, step colder plugs,60# injectors, casper harness, tranny mounts, control arm bushings, hpt, hurst sts, dualpass h/e (still running stock one to),dualpass endplate, extra surge tank for opiton b plumbing, stage 4 bully full ceramic clutch, upgraded slave cylinder, upgraded throwout bearing,3" cti header,3"catless dp,stg2 axle's,and the airbox mod. That is all

in the low end i would say yes it is one of the only things that will help it

As said before, the larger exhaust you have, the worse your low-end is gonna get. And the low end power is part of what is causing our axle and transmission concerns. Does your car have a tune on it so you can rev to 7k? If so, you next best step would be changing up your gearing, IMHO. The 4.45 final gears are not too fun to install, though.

Yeah, I didn't really want to go that far. I think i'll stick to what I have with the bolt-ons for now. Until the warranty is up!!!!!

Yeah I have the gm tune on it. I don't want to dip into the gearing though. Atleast not yet.

That must be nice. You can do whatever you want then and keep the warranty.

dude, you are complaining about low end power like if you had Top end in the first place. If you had an srt4 or another big turbo car then I would understand your complaints, However our cars make peak power around 4k, If you want more Feel of the pants tq, then go for a smaller pulley, its the only way, my 2.8 hit max tq at around 4k and you could feel it, the 2.5 smoothened it out even more and now Im hitting full tq at around 3k. Its a constant pull. If you get headers it will only worsen your low end power, but help your top end. I mean, our cars are not top end monsters. lol. Not until we go turbo.

Yeah, I guess I was hoping for a miracle. Thanks for the input.

thats where your powerband is at, it just takes some getting used too and learning how to drive it.
