Need Some Ideas!

I can honestly say I know the fundamentals of cars, but not much. I have a 2005 cobalt ss/sc and was wondering whats the best way of getting more hp. My budge it around 2,000 for now, so if I could get some ideas of what to do and also what your telling me to do does for my car. I am trying to learn as I go, so thanks for the help ahead of time.

Some things I was looking at was
The GM stage 2 kit
ZZP stage 3 kit

ZZP offers a turbo kit.. but that's well over your 2 grand.. and there are tons of options to add.. intake, exhaust, more cooling mods like meth and/or dual pass.. get a wideband gauge if you plan on having custom tuning done..

EDIT: Look this over.. https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-0l...-guide-217195/

it would be worth it, depends on your end goals for horsepower.
turbo kit -- 350-400hp+
zzp s3 kit -- 250-290hp+

You can make 300 who easy with a tvs. Add e85 or meth your making 320-330 who. Port the head and upgrade the valvetrain and your making 350+ who all the way to 8k rpm, and have a more suerior powerband than a turbo car.
