If that thing gives no CEL's and gives you noticable power, I will get one. Some how I don't see an intake that doesn't give cel's be any better than the stock intake. That is unless there is something that restricts the airflow going to the sensor to trick the computer...

My injen fits like crap, but I have never got a CEL. I'll be getting a new one as soon as I e-mail them hopefully. This looks like a nice intake though!

My thoughts too. I wouldn't buy that thing with those crappy welds. For that price it should be tig welded by a robot.

Where is the MAFF sensor? I made my own intake and let me tell you, that maff has to be mounted deade on the same as factory or codes will be set and also possible bad drivibilty.

it is GM FWD"

I saw the Intake already on Sat. and it definiatly looks good, although I do agree that it would have looked nicer if the weld were polished off.
as far as quality goes, JBP stuff is high quality stuff, he puts a great deal time in making something, because it is after all going into his personal car as well.

and yah I'm a tester to, hence all the JBP stuff, put I would not put it on my baya unless I felt it was top notch.

I may get one too just not right now

As we all know the deal with K&N...CEL's...But now with the Intense kit I have not had one...But I got it for $204 so I can not complain...Sounds great and was a nice gain...If there is proof that this intake is better than K&N's I may sell the K&N and get this one, we will have to wait and see..

i ordered my intake from jbp 3 months ago. It's finally getting shipped out monday april 3rd. Then I asked if i could get black sleeves instead of red, and they said the'll see what they can do. Unbelieveable!! i'll get pics up once it's installed.

well it's pretty retarded to have something that spins the air, and then goes into a blower that disrupts 100% of the airflow.

it would be like folding your clothes before you put them in the washing machine

That's what I was thinking. I don't care if it spins the air or not, it's a 3" intake. This will show much better gains with smaller pulleys, than with the 2.25" K&N. (well it better any ways)

That weld is really ugly though. I'm curious how bad it is on the inside of the pipe, and how much it will disrupt the airflow. Almost makes me wish I had ordered the old one.

I am curious how this compares since it is a 3". I will be needing an intake for my new 2.0 and it might just be this one.
