New to the LSJ, where does this hose go?

basically I was looking around my engine bay and I found a hose that isn't connected to anything. The car runs fine, but on the slim chance I accidentally yanked it out (doubt it because of the position of the clamp) I would like to put it back wherever it is supposed to go if its supposed to go anywhere at all.

It is the other end of this hose and was tucked under the fuel rail cover. the hose comes from the back left corner of the valve cover.

oh I Know where that is, what are the effects of it not being on there?

was it off because the car used to have an aftermarket intake? (I just got it so I don't know if it did or not)

Well is there a breather filter on it? If not the adverse effects are oil spraying all over the back of the motor.

nope, no filter, But I haven't noticed oil anywhere either. It's just an open hose and I just put it back on the intake. I am still curious as to why someone would take it off the intake.

post a full picture of the engine bay. that hose should go from the back of the motor there, wrap around the side next to the fuse box, and then connect to the intake.

I plugged the intake hole and ran a breather filter on mine to reduce crank case pressure

SHHHH, thats later on... besides, the only way you should let it "vent" is by getting a larger hose like bryan did so it can recirculate air easier back into the cylinders and out the exhaust.

if i get another lsj instead of whitfields. i'm going to be going at it mod wise in a completely different route lol. starting with the crankcase and doing what bryan did, but instead of running it to the intake i'll run it to a breatherless catch can along with a hose from this bad boy, and then back to the intake.

Wow, thats a cool piece. I am glad you showed that off cause I was just going to get fittings welded onto my valve cover then run them to a catch can and then to the intake. Thanks for the info.
