New thread on what stage kit to get please

I'v browsed all the discussions about the different stage kits and such which ones good which ones bad. The most appealing one seemed to be the Intense stage 3 but so many have said bad about them. what would or do you use and hp gains . I have complete stock 2007 SS/sc

daily driver .

I only want to spend around 500.00

thanks in advance

OTT stage 1 FTW!!! Or gm stage 2 you buy the parts and just have GM flash it. OTT is making a stage 2 but I dont know how much it will be and when it will be here. ZZP stage 3 has a heat exchanger for 500 and is a bit less on timing if you want to shot more then a 50 shot of nitrious.

The zzp stage 3 looks like exactly what i want to spend and has the heat exchanger. I'v read alot of threads saying it was crap. anybody have this and like it or disliked it . Im planning on doing the returnable core exchange any opinions on this?

well here lemme say this there buddy zzp tunes are the same stuff as intense from the reviews ive heard honestly if you have a crappy tune it wont madder what else you got ive seen 2.8 pulley with 60lbs injector stay at 180 temp cause of a good tune so if you got a bad one your car could be stock with a crapy tune and be junked just food for thought

about the core charged if you cant wait then go BUT it wont be a plug and play pcm you will have to get it timed for your car which would require you to take it in the shop. IF you SEND yours first it will come back plug and play and work amazing

as far as good brands ottp preformance is the way too go it would be about 740 for everything brand new. HOWEVER since i get the hint your not installing all this stuff your self i dont think it would hurt you to get some used stuff such as injectors h/e pulley lol pretty much everything but tune thats what i did. and so far im on track to get everything ottp for 500 and im getting a private hp tune if all pans out with a 2.8 pulley t/d h/e 60lbs

so for my words cause i am jewishly thinking about saving i would buy the stuff you need private then just pay for the 115 dollar tune from ottp since its reputable

ok yes as stated i would say ottp is the best kit out there... there stage 1 kit gives the best bang for the buck and when u want to drop pully sizes u just swap um out and add a cooling mod and done...

as for zzp the things i have heard is there tune is not as dialed in as it should be( the reason why is they dont want to make ur car a powerhouse .. what if its 20 degres where there tuning but its 100 where u are?? that would lean the car out like crazy and cause it to blow... or reversed actuily but what ever.

ottp tune is very reliable and descent power behind it.

It's the same with all canned tunes. The difference is if you buy hptuners with your tune from ottp, they'll help you dial it in.

I have the intense stage 3 and love it made a world of difference and have never had a problem with it. I even asked a couple questions online with there people and had same day email back with a reply. But if I was to do it all over again, I would just go with there Stage 5 for the extra 300 and get the blower ported and polished etc etc etc. Easy to install also took about 2hrs with everything. I see 15-16lbs of boost in utah so I'm happy.

What temp do the fans kick on at the ottp kit. Also I have gm s2, how much more power will ottp stage 1 give over that.

I have never had it dyno'd, but I did see a noticable difference in power throughout the power band . Also I just kind of base my hp #'s off intenses site I know that is not right but I give or take 8 to 10 hp not big deal to me.

This is a lie.

This lie is persistent and keeps rearing it's ugly head around here.

The truth is, there is not a single person who has every blown up with a ZZP stage kit. Not one. Intense has fried many.

ZZP and intense are separate companies, there is nothing the same about ZZP and intense or the tunes.

ZZP tunes are used in every record setting build on this forum.

-Highest HP LNF with stock turbo
-Highest HP LNF period
-Fastest LNF
-Highest HP LSJ
-Highest HP LSJ with M62
-Highest HP LE5
-Fastest LE5
-Fastest LSJ with stock blower
-Highest HP Ion

ZZP powers the forums only 11 sec Cobalts and the list goes on and will continue to grow.

What really kills me about this thread and others like it, aren't people voicing opinions. It's about false and misleading information. Reminds me of the thread where people were talking about which HE to buy. People are like Oooo, OHHH, get the OTT it's WAY better than ZZP's. And it's funny because we're both selling the same unit, although ZZP was selling it for $70 less.

Question for Zooomer.

If a customer purchases a tune from you and already owns hp tuners + wideband, will your company assist with dialing it in properly via email? I'm wondering because other vendors have done this and I'm not sure if zzp does this or not.

We do, you simply select "mail me an hpt file" on the page and you don't have to pay core charge.

Its the truth, a friend of mine has been going back and forth dialing his tune in with zzp. We bought hptuners and one of the guys at zzp (not sure which one) has been checking over and making changes to his tune. Its coming along quite well too.

go with the new stage kit from zzp are u retarded lol. heat exchanger smaller pulley, pcm, wtf when u get that ottp have fun heat soaking and ending up BUYING a h/e for 250 bucks so ur paying 340 for ottp, than down the road 250 more to get what zzp is offering for cheaper and more efficient. and u can upgrade to a stage 3 h/e for 50 bucks. so lets see u get a 2.8 pulley, pcm, h/e, 60 injectors.... umm and its right at ur limit of 500.00. and im a stage 2 and i keep up with ottp stage 1. they dont walk me or leave me. im only a 3.1 pulley. zzp tunes own all. werrrrrd

I have the ZZP stage 2 kit and love it. I am within a hours drive of the shop, caught the kit on sale and had ZZP do the install. Think I spent $350 for everything including labor.

The tune is great imo, car is running a 3.0/42s and the tune is so spot on that I can run almost dead even with 2.8/60s/cai cars with a lesser tune....go figure.

This year I will be doing all the supporting mods to my redline from....you guessed it...ZZP.
