Tims build looks good but he has a lot of other mods to single out the performance of the cams.
I have been toying around with the idea of getting them as well, just would like to see some hard numbers before I invest that much.
Also Steve, are you in Valpo? If so I would love to see the car some day.

Metal I grew up in Hammond, was just out in Hessville yesterday changing my damn IC pump and putting a new 310 gph fuel pump in my buds Procharged Mustang.
We are planning a trip down to US 41 sometime in the next month or so to blow up the cars.

well I am planning on blowing my car up. THinking either shoot the axle out the rear end, spin out and hit a wall, or run 14.5 @114MPH. Havent decided wich yet, maybe all three.

I think a member from the rlf got them installed (stg 1) and they were nothing but a problem and ended up costing him more money. Let me see if I can find the thread. Found it and the issue he had was he needed to buy adjustable cam gears for an extra $400 dollars to get them to run right and then went through the tuning part of it.

From what I see aftermarket cams should be put off until you get bored and theres not much more to do. For close to 1k its almost better to go back to stockers and look at doing something else such as a head p+p.

honestly though, if you get a set that is MADE for the cobalts and your type (N/A, blower, etc) then you should be ok.
im not boosted, but I run an off the shelf Comp stage 2 cam in my balt and they work fine. I upgraded the valve springs so that i could better use the power band, but other then that they installed fine.
and of course, if you have enough **** done to need to change the timing setup, then you have the cash to buy the adjustable timing gears

although without the adjustable timing gears its a waste of time. you may be loosing out to a tiny bit, but honestly, with the ways these things are put together, you should usually be fine.
you use a tool that shows you the degrees of rotation in looking at the cam to the crank. You find how it should be rotated and aligned for the 100% proper opening of the valves in relation to compression. for the most part its a waste of time with the way our setups are assembled unless your making a race engine. for the average person esp on here with a set of cams, its a drop in install and drive (unless tune is needed)

your another uneducated person on these boards
if you dont degee the cams in your cam pos sensor is off and when that happens the timing shows up as a negative number in other words the timing is retarded and the engine will run like **** so go ahead and do it your way then come back and let us know how it goes
