new ZZP header and downpipe awaiting install.

i got all my zzp goodies UPS today.. the only thing is, i can't install them..
It didn't come with an exhaust manifold gasket. and the dealer can't get one till 8:30a.m. tomorrow. Other than that, everything seems good. But now I'm really getting restless in anticipation of the new ponies and 1" drop.

some pics for ya:

IDK, my catback is aftermarket, and i chose the WELD-IN option instead of bolt in. I'm sure it would though.. ZZP products are pretty good.

zzp is pretty good. they ship fast and their parts are awesome. I made an appointment for june 9th for an update to my tune. so that means i will actually have a before/after dyno sheet for this particular upgrade.
(*note that my last dyno was @ 40*F, this one will be in june at probably 85*F )

I'll update the thread tomorrow morning with pics of the spring + header/dp install. along with comments about any gains felt or whatever. at this point i really just want it to be quiter. (basically open downpipe right now. blew a hole in the flex pipe. - will be posting pics of broken flexpipe for sure.)

Well, theres your problem right there!:

everything was installed with no major problems. header bolts needed to be grinded slightly for clearance (new primaries are a little bigger, and the built in washers got in the way)

Also, the sensor behind the cat isn't long enough to reach it's new home, so we had to add a little wire to it for it to reach.

the MINI drop :

i couldn't be happier with the new parts. the exhaust sounds awesome (will have vid, tonight or tomorrow)

and the springs are the ****! the ride quality is pretty close to stock, but i can take turns pretty quick now.

Looks really good.I would recommend putting the heat shield back on.It gets pretty hot and the firewall insulation will catch on fire.

hold on for the vids. IDK if there will be time tonight. LOST 2 hour finale is coming on soon and she hasn't brought the camera over yet.

Nope, not the stock catback. Its a custom 2.5" catback (no resonator) with a magnaflow muffler. Made by my local exhaust shop.

theres nowhere to bolt it to the header, so how would I keep it from rattling?

a few more to come. check for the updates later tonight

exhaust part 1
