Noob here, thinking about a SS/SC, need some help...
My girl has an 06 silver SS Auto, and I am thinking of getting a SS/SC with no sunroof and the G85 package. What are some general numbers that stock, stage 1, stage 2, SCs put down? Does this car get good gains in stock form from intake, exhaust and a tune?
Any problem areas? How much power can the SC run reliably? Is the trans able to hold up to a stage 2 consistently? I am coming from Audi's, I have an 06 A4 2.0T Quattro, 6 speed with GIAC flash, love it. I am new to a supercharger.
Any general info would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you get a SS/SC, you won't be disappointed; GM seriously underrated the LSJ meaning that most people are dynoing at or above the rating for horsepower at the crank. Similarly, many people are putting down numbers close to those advertised for the crank at the wheels with the stage kits. As for particulars, I can't help too much; I'm just a 2.2L guy. When in doubt, the search button is your friend. Welcome to the site!

honestly numbers that are put down varies from driver to driver and even the cars aswell..general time for a stock is a mid 14. stage 1 would be low 14. stage 2 would be 13 mid to high. but the car takes really well to mods...i know with just my CAI alone i gained over 15whp...exhaust deff helps out which can give u an avg of 8 whp for ur cat back. and tuning can make a world of difference regaurdless of w/e car it is...it just depends on the tuner and if he/she knows exactly wtf theyre doin. theres not any drastic problems with the car that i can point out other then tath its FWD lol. with teh stg 2 tune u can run a 2.8 w/o any problems....but one of the greatest thigns about our car is the tranny...its so well built that alot of the 400+ whp hondas are using our tranny to hold the power. hope this helps u out.

I havent searched as much as I usually do when I post questions like this. I am not new to forums, I had a Taurus SHO that was heavily modded, 2 actually, then I sold it for reliability. I was calling around for colors on the Cobalt SS/SC, when I went into the Audi dealer. My dad had a B5(2000-2002) S4 with chip, exhaust, diverter valves and short shifter, was a low 13 car with 2k into it. Then he sold it for a B6(2004-2005.5 B7 2005.5-Present= same with 40/60 front rear bias) with AWE exhaust, about a mid 13 sec car. I leased a 2006 A4 2.0T Quattro 6 speed with GIAC chip, runs about 215 whp, about a low 14, some dip into 13.9s.
On my list it goes in order of favorability, without driving the Acura or Honda: Acura 3.2CL type S, VW MKV GTI, SS/SC, Honda Accord Coupe V6 6 speed. Others on my list are the MKIV GTI VR6/Jetta GLI and the 2003 Nissan Maxima SE 6 speed and for ***** and giggles, Mach 1 mustang, GTO ect.
I am just a sucker for under-rated cars with a nice aftermarket, hence, SHO. I would have another in a heart beat if my parents would let me have two car payments.
The Acura has no following that I have found, one janky ass forum that inspired no confidence, both SHO and Audi, has one or two well known forums, that are amazing, such as the ss net. Time and Size will tell. Thanks again.
