Noob intake question

Question Noob intake question

So I am finally ready to get an intake, either zzp or injen. I have been searching on here for awhile and my 05 is completely stock. ive read a couple things that i would have to get my car tuned for an intake?

If you get an Injen, you won't go into limp mode which means you can hold off on tuning the car if you're on a budget.

it may throw a lean code from skewing of the maf a tune will fix it next time use the search button

I've heard a lot of good things about the ZZP intake. I'm waiting for them to get done in stock to order one as well

So if I do go with a zzp or injen would it be fine to just slap it on without a maf tune? Or should I wait till I have the money?

Zzp shouldn't throw a code, I have an 06 but it didn't throw a code for mine.

You dont need a tune with the Injen intake, it will not throw a code.

if it is box stock it the chances of it throwing a code is high
