OBDII Not working

OBDII Not working

My obdII plug is not working in my car. whenever i hook up a scanner it says there is no connection. And ive tried with multiple code scanners.

obd2 port is patched in with the cig lighter circuit.They pop easily if your using phone chargers,ipod chargers etc.Check that.

If the scanner is coming on and saying good connection my guess is the fuse is good

not all scanners are powered by the port.some scanners power themselves.

For future reference it can also be the horn fuse. Even between the same model cars, its like Gm wired them randomly sometimes. And as we all know they're wired tangled and with 100 pounds of electrical tape.
