TOG = Crap. No Gasket and Improper fitment.

SCDyne = Last I heard still had fitment issues, need accurate gasket & don't get parts in a timely manner.

Weapon R = Crap, No CAT, o2 Simulator needed and restriction after the collector.

CTI = ?? Not sure.

GMPP Mainfold = Good for what it is but doesn't yield as great of results for the price you pay.

Vibrant = Nice but VERY expensive setup.

I have the CTI and am very happy with it. If there is a way to convert mustang dyno numbers to dynojet, I can report gains. but I didn't like the guy i did my base dyno at, so Rev it up dyno'd my car this past sunday. with the CTI header and downpipe.

I know that JBP will be makeing a 4-1 shorty and a 4-2-1 long tube 3" with cat. similar to Vibrants.

but it will be pretty pricey too because of the T304 Stainless.

i think for the price and everything the weapon r header seems the way to go. never buy a header that isnt t304 stainless. they do not last. (even ceramic coating falls off after 3 to 4 years).

One thing that's intersting to note about Doc's numbers, he didn't go to redline. Had he gone all the way to 6500 rpms, his gains would've been a little higher. Also, people that have a 7K redline will benefit even more. Good thread!

Thanks everyone so far. I should have noted before that when I did this I was on my laptop in the basement, and didn't have a mouse or my usual set of favorites. So I only headed to a few sites, so I don't have all the notes done yet. I hope to figure out what each is made of, 4-1 or 4-2-1, size of collector, if it includes downpipe and/or cat, direct bold up/welding required, and more stuff like that.

The other thing would be prices. If anyone finds these parts any cheaper let me know and I'll update the sites.

I heard SCdyne has "fixed" their issue since last time. I will be calling them up this summer and talking to them about their fixes and perhaps even buying one because I do not want to spend more than $500 on a 4-1 header. I would want a 4-2-1 header but I want my cat as well.

the only fitment "issue" i had. would be the holes in the flange not lining up "perfectly" but I was also doing it on the drivway layng on the ground.

I couldn't get the driverside most stud to line up and come through. so I pulled it back out, and lined the old gasket up with the holes. it was the tinyest bit off. I just took a drill with an auger bit and took a tiny bit off the side. it went on no problem after that.

The bolt placement on the flange that meets with the downpipe was a bitch to get to, since i was laying on the ground, and it is on top of the pipe.

I tightened it down as best i could on the ground, then drove it about 100 miles.

During the 100 miles it started to leak a small bit, so I retightened everything, wich I expected to do anyway. and now no problems since.
