Only crappy part about tortilla juice is that it's not available here, there are two pumps iirc and they are both way out of the way.

so...
stock cams/head
tvs

does it make sense to have a slight boost spike from 7K rpm up?

ok. never really though about it before, but stock cams quit making power around 6700-6800 so over that airflow "drops" making boost spike

brain trying to function this morning.

I just acquired a set of cams and will be revving the engine out to about 8k. Will my 2.5 be too small for that rpm? What's a good pulley for 8k?

What PSI can I expect from "x" pulley? *note, this is with 2.5" exhaust and stock header/dp. Take off 1-3psi depending on exhaust components
64mm / 2.5" ~ 27.5 psi
70mm / 2.75" ~ 25 psi
75mm / 2.95" ~ 22.5 psi
80mm / 3.15" ~ 20 psi
85mm / 3.35" ~ 17.5 psi
89mm / 3.5" ~15psi

Per Area47, note this is with a higher redline w/ upgrade valvetrain: as a slight correction to the psi reference.
if you spin the motor high enough a 3.1 pulley will make 23psi. a 2.9 will make 25, and a 2.75 will make 26.5. 99% of the tvs owners will not spin their engines to 7900 to see this. i personally have seen 27psi out of the 2.75 ring

um, a 2.7" i guess

That Tvs on the 2.9 had no problem making power to 7500 on a stock head and cams.

Quit making the mistake of placing the Tvs well out of its efficiency unless you can drop the PR low enough on a smaller pulley. Then your only obstacle is revs

With three people in the car, ad a trunk full of tools. We were able to shock the tires hard enoug with a quick downshift into 3rd and jab of the throttle.

Boost isnt the problem, it was more of the rpm on the tvs i was worried about. Ive read they are safe to spin to 22k but not sure where they are the happiest or what pulley will get them there at my rpm

Out of fuel... hp was still climbing past 7500... -_-

100% IDC by 7100 RPM
108% IDC by 7500 RPM

22-23 mid - 25 peak by redline
19 PSI by 6500 - 21 PSI by 7500
This particular LSJ took extremely well to leaner fueling. First 5-6 pulls were 11.7-12.0 dynoing 330whp/279 ft lbs.

And 12.7-13.0 using the same advance above =

I would just like to thank Steven for setting this dyno day up for us and playing with our car on the dyno. Was nice to make changes on the dyno and see what works best for us.

Gonna get more fuel and rpm out of the car and get back at it.

no no, i know the tvs car will make power over the "limits" of the cams, but the cams dont breath as well up that high is what i meant
