We call the opel speedster a vx220 in the uk

Built buy lotus for GM
Came standard with a 2.2 ecotec NA
And later 2.0 turbo

Mines had a bit of work
Taking a 2.0 new Saab b207 engine and swapping the crank for a 2.2 adding forged Pistons, rods stage 2 Zzp cams and uprated valve springs
And a Harrop SC
Charge cooled
And soon to be WI
Currently running around 360hp and 400 NM
And it runs on standard pump fuel with a 3.1 pulley
And the car is fibreglass and weighs a little over 800kg

There's no chance you could cool that power in a mid engine car like this
It's hard enough to keep it cool already

crank sensor is located under the oil filter housing, and above the starter. There is a short harness that connects the ckp to the main engine wiring harness.

found the crank sensor.. disconnected and reconnected it. May need to take the sensor out just to make sure. I think that's an older existing problem unrelated to the issues i'm having\

that code is jsut saying the crank variation isn't learned... That's not causing your issue.
