Oil cooler for the M62

Anyone try their own version of the Venom Cooler with a remote heat exchanger and pump?
Looks easy enough to do and I haven't heard of any ill effects of over filling the snout with oil. They are drilling some passages and blocking off some areas and running coolant from the heat exchanger system. Why not cool the oil that runs through it? We have already seen these grossly overfilled without issues.

Maybe a few guys with an LSJ have, but I don't think there are issues with the snot getting to hot.
The article i found is using the snout to help cool the SC housing. Just not finding where IAT temps are better which is what would interest me most.

Those were invented for marine applications that stay in the boost constantly. A car or even my desert buggy runs out of the boost enough to not have the overheating problem of a marine engine. Interesting about the overfill thou. What are you guys filling them with?

If overfilling without a cooler I would think the main problems would be excess heat and pressure in the snout. Excess heat from churning more oil and excess pressure from not having as much air space for expansion. Though these conditions surely exist they may not to the extent that it causes any noticeable problems.

The M62 uses a specific amount of supercharger oil. Many have been known to double the amount and fill till it runs back out. The seller of these boasts a lot of benefits but has never shown any useful IAT data. They have blocked off 2 sides and run the same coolant that the heat exchanger uses. Some feel this is only adding additional heat to the coolant. Im thinking a separate system that cools the oil would be more effective. You could circulate a larger amount in a vented system. I have pretty much all the components to do this and may try it just for the knowledge aspect.
