Oil Filter Socket ??

Where does one buy that oil filter socket that the dealer usese to change the oil on the balts ? The dealer told me they dont carry it ? So ......... ??

i just got one from the local auto parts store. forget what size it was exactly.

1 1/2" socket, usually has a 1/2" drive

Its a 1 1/4" socket. Its so huge, I guess a 6 point 1 1/2" socket would work too. The actual size is 1 1/4" though.

Sears carries it.

32mm 6 point, snap on wants like $30 for one, get one at an auto store for like $5.

So 1 1/4 inch will fit perfect ?? Do i want a 6 piont or 12 piont ? I'd think like said above the 6 piont would be the best. Is that correct !

They have a plastic screw on cover on-top of the motor. Attached/underneath that cover is the paper filter element.

I don't quite understand your question but I hope that answers it.

If you look on eBay you will see a whole bunch listed for the Ecotecs. They are a "slim" design to make life easier. Nice and CHEAP as well. Here is a link to one.....

yah it did, its a canister filter, you find them on fushions to, you need somthing called a import, basically its a big socket that adjusts to the plastict, using the allen wrecnh to open it can strip, used to work at jiffy lube, its a PZ-90 in a penzoil filter
