Oil leak from the front axle
Well I start by saying Im not much of a mechanic. So I noticed that I'm starting to leak break fluid somewhere. I had the whole break system check and theres not leak in the system. I got a oil change and they said it looked like some kind of fluid was leaking out of the gear box hooked up to the front axle and the seals might be bad.
What is my break fluid leaking out of? and doesnt anyone know how much it would cost to replace.
Thanks in Advance

I had one as well. Its most likely the axle seal. The labor to remove an axle is expensive, so your best just doing it yourself. If you must have someone else do it, that just put a stronger axle in to replace the old, the labor would be the same.

No, an axle leaking will not cause you to lose brake fluid. Nor will it cause you to lose trans fluid. You can't really have a leaky axle, but a torn or "leaky" axle boot will put grease all over everything though. The OP has a bad axle seal; this allows the trans fluid to leak out.
OP... I wouldn't drive the car too much until it gets fixed. Or at least make sure you top off the fluid every now and again. You lose enough of that trans fluid and you will destroy your transmission.
Mine started leaking a few weeks ago. Lucky for me, the car is already torn apart in the garage.

That's a little too much lol
How can I check trans fluid level?
And I think I should replace them too.... Would it be hard to make it come out or is it as easy as removing the struts ?
O and mine has grease on the boot plastic area

There are two Hex nut things on the drivers side of the Diff cover. A top one and a bottom one. Remove the top one with the car being level. The fluid should be right at the top. It's not an easy system to drain and fill, and it's not meant for you to check the fluid level. If you aren't leaking any... then you should be topped off.
If you have an LNF, you shouldn't need to replace the Axles "just because". Unless you're talking about the axle seals, to which I say, don't replace them unless you either have to or you already have the trans/axles out of the car.
