Hi PhantomTA, I know you from the f-body sites

As far as your PSI, how many miles do you have on it? If you just got it, you may not hit full boost for a few hundred miles. Just redline it in 3rd, you’ll hit 12

Almost 6k. 10.5 psi at the top of 3rd. Gets there at like 3500ish and stays there.

i had 10k miles on my car and didnt see the full 12 psi until i gutted my airbox. im not sure if thats what did it, but that would be one heck of a coincidence, because now i see all 12psi when flooring it in 2nd.

Must be your elevation. I know you guys are from the same state but just being uphill can make a difference. I would take it back, tell them you want a new one. Your entitled to the same car everyone else has.

Some of this can be blamed on the cheap autometer gauge.

PhantomTA..........You still have the bird for sale?

Mine didn't show full PSi either til I got around 3500 miles, I put 4000 miles on it in 2 1/2 weeks. Geez. Just keep an eye on it. If it doesn't change, take it to the dealer?

What color Cobalt you have?

I'm at around 800ft asl and only get 11psi at most , i have 3700 miles and a k&n drop in . I'm wondering if the guage isnt showing full boost , or if the bypass butterfly isnt adjusted right . Might take it back to the dealer and see whats up , at 800ft asl this thing shouldnt be effected by elevation

I didn't really see above 10 psi until after about 3000 miles. Of course I took it real easy on the car till I got about 3000 miles on it, too. Now with stage 2 I see 12.5 at WOT somewhere around 3500 RPM, then somewhere after about 5000 RPM it climbs and hits max 15 somewhere above 6000 RPM. Since I'm driving I dont' really have time to look at the guage and the tach at the same time, so I have to guess as to what the RPMs are at. Once of these days I'll get someone to Video it while I'm driving so I can see it all for myself.

You also have to remember that the stock boost guage isn't really 100% accurate, so don't put a lot of trust into what it says.

I'm at 4500' ASL here in Utah and I only see 10 PSI, I hope that changes with the stage II kit.

It uasually only goes up to 12 psi at a really high rpm. Drop from 3rd gear 3500rpm to 2nd and gun it and it should go to 12 or maybe even 12.5
