OTT Stage 1 vs ZZP Stage 3

I have been very intrested in ottp's stage kit but zzp seems to have the better deal. both put down identical numbers. Can anyone elaborate on this? I know ottp is a solid company but zzp is offering a h/e in there kit.

tried to find the zzp kit but i couldnt. I'm assuming its the same parts? 2.8, 60lb, S2 belt? Whats the price on the to kits? If its the same price and same parts except for the h/e, then go with zzp. Otherwise go with OTTP. Both good vendors, but i've orderd more parts from ottp and they seem better (sorry zzp...lol)

OTTP ftw. When I saw a tuned GMs2 ran within a few thousandths of the ZZPs3, plus supporting mods, I knew the ZZP setup was flawed. The only difference happened to be the drivers. This happened to be at the same track, on the same day, at aproximately the same time. You can't do any better than that for comparing apples to apples. I went with OTTP because it felt like it pulled harder. Plus, OTTP will tune for all the other mods on your car. I don't think ZZP does that.

Now that I've posted I bet zoomer wil come in here talking about how my post is crap and why his setup is better.

ottp with with kit and heat exchanger is 700 zzp with all i need is 600. and the zzp he is bigger and better and lighter. base price for ott kit is 460 without the he. zzp is 500 with he.

So even if they have same numbers the way the power delivered in the ott kit is better? cuz if a gmst2 is that close it's not worth my money.

I would guess they are very close to each other. Just because a stage 2 car ran close doesnt mean it close with equal drivers. I've seen a stock ss beat a stage 2 at the track on the same day. Not nut hugging zzp since I am running ottp's tune and love it, just bringing up a point.

Okay Josh, I just dropped $468 with yuo guys today and you haven't said a thing. Can you send me a PM?

And for those talking about the GMs2 v. ZZPs3 comparo I made earlier, I fully unnderstand what you're saying. That is why I tried to make it known that just about everything was equal. What I didn't tell you is that the GMs2 guy was tuned by the ZZPs3 guy. The GMs2 guy was fairly new to racing while the ZZPs3 guy was very well respected at the track due to his long racing history. Before his LSJ he had one of about 15 supercharged Olds Alero's that were on the street (the sc kit was aftermarket). The guy knew how to drive and even kept it close in a heads up race while he was driving his LSJ and one of his friends raced his LS1 WS6. The LS1 did win, but he was inpressed with how the LSJ kept it close.

The original ZZP tune was a GM stage 2 file with a couple codes removed, higher rev limiter and an adjustment to flatten the O2. Each ZZP PCM has a version code on the box. If we change anything on the PCM, the code is changed so that we know what file a customer has when discussing his PCM.

We began our push into the Cobalt market let so I would expect OTT and GM to have very much outsold us in PCMs. However, the highest HP and the fastest Cobalts are running ZZP in 2009.

Also remember that a personal tune will always be better then a canned tune, if the tuner knows what there doing of course.
