yeah something between 1.5 and 1.75 would be nice
Though honestly I felt no loss of lowend in my 2.4 with the 1 3/4.

i dont mean that entirely, because you're usually a bright guy, but this is the second time you've stated "you're wrong" with absolutely zero proof or reasoning, when in fact, you're the one who's wrong.

smaller diameter and longer length makes for a lower powerband. This is true for both intake manfolds and exhaust manifolds. Go do some reading.

Meeeehhhh.. i don't have any 4cyl knowledge regarding header length.. but know that long tubes make top end power on V8s.. and shorty headers make torque..

can you name a single source? i mean like a book, or trustworthy website (in which case i'd ask for a link), because from everything i have ever read, what you're saying is incorrect. I wont accept things like "my mechanic whos been building v8's for 30 years" as a source btw.

I dont think it would be cost effective to run a burns 304 SS collector with it costing almost half the systems total. I would like to know more about it though since its where headers lose or gain most of their flow

i would pay to have the Burns collector on mine.

In reality the cost of this system is not any different than the average header and downpipe.

I know what you mean! There aren't many headers on the market for LSJ's that have true merge collectors. I know my SMS header has a spike merge collector in it, and I know the RD Fabs does. But CIA, Pacesetter, CTI, ZZP, etc don't.

exactly and on top of that, as i said before, this is near identical to the time attack cobalt header

This looks extremely nice and very promising. I've been waiting on someone to come out with something like this for a long time.

a little off topic here but....

http://www.mustang50magazine.com/tec...est/index.html

long tubes will make better power all over the band especially in the top end. This header that OTTP is making should flat out embarrass every other header on the market. Shorty headers are usually just a short cut since they are so cheap. Obviously they make better power than a stock manifold, but they don't make more power up top than a long tube. Why do race cars run long tubes? Not because they want more low end grunt that's for sure.

these dyno's above are actual results, not some computer generated flow chart.

You are absolutely correct. I bet it doesnt make much difference. Any difference it makes will be +, however small.

But some things dont make a difference and some folks want them. Me and LS1f body want that burns merge collector we are crazy for it. We will know its there.

I bet the BBK kit with stock calipers on an LSJ is just as good (pedal feel aside when very hot) as the Brembo's on an LNF. My testing shows that. But I got Brembo's. I know they are there.
I got a carbon hood and vents and the hood is painted body color. The vents work. The carbon doesnt show. But I know its there....

so I'm assuming that this header is long enough that you don't need a downpipe right? that could be a completely stupid question, but i'm still learning on some things.
