P1101 & p0103

The other day I did the boost bypass mod, and put a breather filter on the valve cover and a cap on the intake tubing where the vacuume line was. I got the P1101 code early in the morning when it was cold, doing just average highway driving.

I cleared it, and un-did the boost bypass mod, it was fine for two days. Then this morning I got P1101 & P0103.

Both times it has been 40 degrees or lower, and the only thing left I can think of is the breather filter... but that doesnt make much sense.

All the threads basically say to clean the MAF. I have the airbox mod with a K&N filter.

Any ideas?

Have you ever oiled your filter?

If so, that could be a source of the problem

If the filter isn't properly oiled, the MAF will get covered in it

I have not oiled it... its probably only 8 months old... I wanted to get a Dryflow soon anyway... If I have time this weekend i'll clean the MAF and get a new filter...

any reason you decided to put a filter on the valve cover?

Thought it would be a good idea to keep oily air from getting all over the throttle body...

except it needs vacuum to draw out those gases, re-install the line and put an oil catch can. search on here, some people have made some that cost like $5 to make at home depot

P1101 still!

Over the weekend I put on a new AEM Dryflow filter (airbox modded), cleaned the MAF and throttle body, and put on the oil catch can. I have looked and there are no vacuum lines missing, not connected, or cracked.

Within 2 miles of driving on the highway in the morning (6:30am - about 39 degrees outside) I’m still getting P1101. After work I clear the code (4:00pm - about 50 degrees outside) and do not get the code. But the next morning I do again.

I really don’t know what else it could be help!

The code can be disabled in HPTuners.
