The manual is wrong, it takes more than 5 quarts.

It always takes me 6.25 quarts to get the dipstick to read full (after driving and letting the car sit for at least 30 minutes).

The OP also stated 5 liters. It should take closer to 5.9 or 6 liters to fill the LSJ with oil.

make sure the screen is on the screen that shows your percentage, and then just turn the ignition key into the on position, but do not start it, and then press the gas petal 3 times to the floor, and it should reset... I also run royal purple in my car, have been since I get it new... runs great I think

Do you check the oil? The LSJ takes around 6 quarts. If you have been using 5 quarts only you are running the engine 1 quart low all the time.

You have a LNF engine. LNF uses 5 quarts.

I've heard that royal purple doesn't clean? Don't know how true that it. I've also heard about amsoil. What's that all about. I put in 6qt of mobile 1. That gets it to the full line, also use bosch oil filter

i hope you have better luck than me. i used a bosch oil filter once thinking it would be better than the ac delco, and boy was i wrong. when i took the bosch filter out during an oil change, i found a caved in/ twisted mess of a filter. i went back to the ac delco, and have never had a problem since.

The manual for the LSJ states 5.7L of oil. When my oil gets changed, It takes just over 5.7L of oil to get to the full line on the dipstick. I buy a 4.4L jugs of Mobile 1 and and two 1L bottles when changing the oil. You will have some extra left in the second 1L bottle.

the twisting should be fine, that is because the oil filter is an internal and it is just a tad large to ensure that it seals.
