p2228 code
anyone have suggestions on what throws the p2228 code (barometric pressure low)
i have had the intake manifold off, s/c off, throttle body off, so its something I did that caused it.
I have read that people have unplugged the sensor to get to the oil filter, does the positioning of it have something to do with it?
could it be the s/c plate that is in between the intake manifold and the s/c?
could it be the intake manifold it self?
any suggestions that i could do would be helpful.
the MAP is running around 38 kpa. The s/c intake pressure is around 8.8 to 9.5

yeah i got that before too, ended up being the air filter was damp (had an aem dry flow).
before going too far into the troubleshooting steps, just clean your air filter, or replace it if you don't have a reusable

it has something to do with my modifications. i did a stage 4 intense racing and ported throttle body all in 1 swoop. it wasnt on before this
so it definitely something more drastic

It might be your ported TB, I think I popped on this code once, totally disabled it , I know. I know it's bad, but I don't see anything wrong with it. Runs perfect now. It does sound like it has to do with low pressure inside the manifold (low boost, when there should be more)

When my engine power reduce light came on in my 05 sc. It ended up being the problem you have but mine was due to me unplugging it and not knowing the grommit fell out and dirt got into it

really? I must know something, cause my engine doesn't have any error codes.
if your ******* would look up that error, you would see it happens alot on the saab cars when they get dirty sensors, dirty filters or the sensor is unplugged. the code happens when the engine calculates less air going across the sensor than it estimates should be when compared to a few other parameters.
but you already knew that, because of my "lack" of knowledge, and you know that there is a much bigger problem at stake here.
