Pacesetter Exhaust...Possibly

I just wrote an email the other day to Pacesetter and received this response for a full exhaust for the SS/SC:

hello , yes we do have plans to offer header and exhaust , when they will be avaliable , we arent sure yet .

Looks like another company we can look forward to for a full exhaust. I've never really dealt with Pacesetter before but I know they have full exhaust for Corvette's and Camaro's and I'm not sure but isn't Pacesetter on Ferrari's too? Not that our car is a Ferrari but it must be good quality

you know i always heard the urban legend about someone saying that, but not a single person could come up with a dynosheet. i just don't believe it cause i had one and other than the tips rusting, it was great, 1/3 the cost of a borla and sounded just like it, if not better. i got alot of compliments form it.. absolutely no rasp even when you let off at WOT

yeah they are, i won't argue one bit... but they sound good. and they're so cheap if you don't like it, it's not a big deal to replace it in a year.. hell you'll have to replace it every 3 years anyway cause it'll rust out on you, but the point being when you can get a full cat back w/resonator and dual exit for $230 shipped, and others cost $600-$700, if you don't like the $600 exhaust, you're not going to just sell it on ebay for $50, you'll be stuck with what you don't like for a long time lol

i honestly just like them cause the sound is awesome and they are basically throw away exhausts for those of us who don't want to spend $700 on a borla

ive had 2 pacesetter headers on my cars and over 5 years neither has given me problems. ill admit pacesetter used to be shitty back in the day but now their products are quite nice. i recommend pacesetter from my own experiences.

never had their headers. i know a few open wheels that used them, but most of the latemodels we owned use hooker or msds (which i think msds is possibly the absolute best header mfr. that exhists) but that's only from the dirt ovals, when on the strip it goes to a million different choices of mfr's for headers

Eric posts here, I'm sure he'll have a comment. My experience with my Pacesetter header on my Civic has been mixed.

the older stuff was made in mexico

ive had my header and love it , all my friends have the pacesetter header/s

the exhaust systems are aluminized steel tubing , and it is better suited to a dry climate during the winter , ie......... no road salt

road salt will eat even low grades of stainless

several cars ive heard (cavaliers , trucks a few other sport spopacts) sounded pretty decent , in some cases a resonator is needed on the sport compact stuff

most of the locals know already

i was more trying to keep it kinda quiet , because of the whole supporting vendor thing , even though we are a manufacture , and not a vendor

So if Pacesetter is poop then why does Ferrari use them? Or maybe they don't? If they do I would assume it would be good quality unless the spend EXTRA time on making them good for the Ferrari's
