what is the part # on the K&N Drop In Filter for the Cobalt SS?

The one people have been using is the E-1009 but it isn't exactly a drop-in.

The E-1009 needs to have some cutting down on the filter to fit in the SS/SC.

Modern Performance will do it for you if you call up and ask them. I got mine from them and it fit perfectly.

So do they cut a hole in the bottom or do they cut off the top part where the clamp goes?

Cut a hole in the bottom of the filter that fits around the indentation in the air box.
