passing emissions w/ no cat
if your worried about passing emissions because of the visual inspections with your 3" catless dp. this is for you! just weld it in and go!
thought i would share with those who have never seen these!
3" straight pipe but looks like a catalytic converter!

exactly. i know a few people who inspect emissions in ct. they said they check for codes (cat efficiency codes) and do a visual to check that the cat is in place. so for me, i have my rear o2 tuned out, and i'm getting this so i will have no worries when emissions comes around

Waste of money I dont know of anyone that just looks to see if you have a cat they hook up a sensor to the exhaust that tells them everything. i think the only way to pass without a cat is to know the person doing your emissions

Or you could just gut your cat and have the same **** for no more money...It is illegal for you to tamper with or remove a cat that isn't broken, so when they see this nice shiny piece of new exhaust in the middle of a rusty set of pipes they're gonna flag it anyway. Take a screw driver to your original cat if you want to do something like this.

i just talked to a guy i know who does emissions. they scan the car for codes to check if the post cat o2 is reading a converter problem. then they do a visual inspection to make sure there is a catalytic converter is in place
