Please define what a LSJ Shortblock would include
Please be honest and post what you think a LSJ shortblock should include if you were to purchase one. I know what it should include, but please post anyhow as there is a purpose behind this thread I can assure you. Thank you.
i guess i was wrong...but i thought a shortblock was just the block itself, and a longblock was the complete engine.
so im guessing a shortblock is the block and all parts in the block, and a long block is the block and head with all parts?

Some people need to understand the difference between a bare block and short block.
I guess that's why we ask for pictures first.
The difference between the average bare block and short block price should be refunded!
Here is the point to this thread. I am still waiting on a response so the person has a chance to make good before names get dropped. As of right now all that was received was the block and that didn't even include the crankcase at that! Without the crankcase it's not even a complete block itself in my opinion nevermind that it was supposed to be a shortblock!
shortblock obviously is complete lower motor. block, girdle, crank, rods, pistons, oil pan. no accessories or head.
not a good idea to **** over someone who plays with bombs for a living imo

ECO Shortblock is AT ABSOLUTE MINIMUM: block, lower crank case, crank, rods, pistons, balance shafts. That is the complete block and all reciprocating pieces
Oil pan, oil pump and water crossover are definite possibilities.....I would say if they arent included in a listing for a complete ECO short block it should be made clear they arent
Another way to look at it, is.....if you have to go inside th the engine to remove the piece(except for timing chain) its part of the short block. Again with the exception of the head and the timing chain everything lubricated by oil should be included.
