Is This Possible?

Just wanted to know if this was possible. Someone had told me that since my rims are 19s and are pretty heavy, i can go to the dealership and they can release my power to my car threw the cars computer. he said i would have to pay to get it done but what i wanna know is if u CAN even get that done?

No they cannot give you more power through a software update. It can make the car run smoother if there were issues re: driveability and such, but not to "tune" the car for more power.

from what ive been told, some engines have been de-tuned to run in a more efficent manner, so if they had a sofware upgrade then they will get more power, not sure if this applies to the ecotecs tho...

That would involve running more timing etc. The computer flashes for our cars don't affect all out performance, more smoothing things out.

HPTuners is the only way we can get more power from the "tuning".
