possible header dp problems

possible header dp problems

hey all i hear about when talking about installing headers and downpipes are that they are a pain in the butt and that when all is said and done that it smokes and smells for a while

is part or any of that true

Anything you install on your car is going to be a pain in the ass. If you dont want to take the time to do it, if you dont want to make any time to do it, or you expect to mod your car to 300 hp and not have to do any work, you shouldnt be working on your car.

Of course installing a header and a down pipe is gonna be a pain. If you expect to do anything to your car and have it be a cake walk, your gonna be in for a surprise.

It smokes because of the oils on your hand that rub onto the piece, and because of the oils used in the manufacturing process... it goes away after a day or so....

I'm gonna install the ZZP midlength header/dp combo tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes.

Smokes and smells, because of the oils on your hand during install is burning off the metal...

ok i was just making sure, and for jlong3382 the zzp header dp combo is good, i helped install on a friends and it has better high end, but it did smoke and smelt bad, with this combo is the ceramic coating worth the extra 100 bucks

I don't know, I didn't get it coated............the weather killed my install plans so I'm shooting for wednesday or friday of this week.
