redlines powersteering fluid can be used as supercharger oil!
seriously though, i went to murrays. told em i needed sc oil. they asked me what car i had <ion REDLINE was actually in there database, i didnt have to pretend to be a balt owner LOL>. he then said "eaton m62..... yeah.... u can run either the gm oil which we have in stock and this oil." i was shocked to say the least. he let me mess with both bottles and all man. the fluids viscosity seemed identical. obviously, the ricers at redline made there **** bright red..... but whatever. i then was stopped by one of the supervisors and he's owned 4 supercharged cars. he mentioned that his kenne bell cobra's SC takes 50 weight oil. i honestly didnt know that, i thought kenne bells took the same oil as we did. he then told me to go with the redline PS oil cuz it was cheaper then the gm oil, and can resist heat better then the gm oil too! btw, his daughter has a ss/sc with over 40k miles and thats what she's running in her balt. there supposed to make it to the next sflsja meet too! so there u have it.
EDIT: he dropped all fluids in her gm stage 2 balt at 20k miles... so the redline PS oil has only been in there for about 20k miles. its in my blower now too. draining it was fun. litterally turned it upside down LOL. got my turkey baster thinggy and measured 100. shook it around a bit, drained it again and refilled. car doesnt make that feint rattling noise during acceleration. 2 thumbs up!
