Problem with alarm light?

Problem with alarm light?

I hit lock twice and I have even waited the 60 seconds + But the red alarm light does not come on blinking for my SS SC.

I thought everyone did? LOL

its a flashing red light that comes on when the alarm is armed. Mine hasn't been coming on but its there, its a big red light on the top of the dash (well not that big)

There's a few things you can try. Sounds like your dealer has put in an aftermarket alarm in there. First try this: Leave the d/s door open so the dome light is on, and hit lock, unlock, lock or 1, 2, 1 depending on your remote. that should re-arm the alarm. If it doesn't break out the manual for your alarm, because it might deal with the vallet button under your dash.

um, I have the lock/car thingy on my instrument panel light up when I am the alarm. It flashes...but nothing lights up on the dash....

I dont think the thing on the dash is for the alarm....i always thought it was for the keyless entry...but i could be wrong...all i know is that it isnt for the alarm....i have the flashing yellowish looking lock

i think its the keyless entry sensor too

there's the factory anti-theft/keyless entry stuff, with the light on the dash. sounds like his car has a after market alarm system.
