Question..

I have searched and searched, but I have not found the answer to my question. Im sure it is out there though.. For us LSJ guys, is it possible go turbo, without any tune, even if it is just to limp it to a dyno to get tuned? i understand the whole concept of forcing air into an engine requires more fuel and such.. but I did not know if our MAF and ECU would read boost being forced into the engine instead of the air being sucked in like it is now..

your going to need some kind of base tune to get you going or your car is not going to like you, i would honestly get it trailored there

I would have to agree here.

If your going turbo you are probably going to need bigger injectors, meaning you are also going to need a tune before you can get the car moving.

When your asking if the car can "tell the difference" between a turbo and a supercharger...probably not so much but it's going to need a tune because a turbo will flow a different amount of air no matter how you set it up.

If you really had to drive the car to the dyno and couldn't get it towed, you could leave the injectors you have it, block the waste gate fully open so you don't have any boost at all. Doing that you could probably limp the car to the dyno because vacuum is vacuum IMO. That being said I still recommend the tow truck.
