Question about exhaust

Sorry I'm kind of a noob. But I'm thinking of buying the 2.5" cobalt catback exhaust that zzp has. If I wanted to add a magnaflow muffler to it, all I would have to do is cut out the one from zzp and weld the magnaflow in. Then after that all I would need is a downpipe, correct?

Just wanna know if that's correct.

why dont you just get the magnaflow catback instead of cutting up a brand new exhaust?

I think they use to have an option for magnaflow or zzp. They might still do it if you call them.

Kinda dumb though, I'd just keep the zzp one on there. Probably sound better. But if you really wanted the magnaflow, any exhaust shop can cut off the muffler and weld a different one on.

I messaged zzp and this is what they said.... "Not sure which platform you are referring to, but our catback now uses a ZZP exclusive muffler. (they used to use magnaflow mufflers with our piping, like in the pic) our mufflers have a nice deep tone like the magnaflow, but a bit quieter when cruising."

So I guess they don't use magnaflow anymore

as far as the magnaflow zzp has a pic on their site of a magnaflow on their exhaust, thats zzps fault. he was asking if they still use their muffler because thats what he wants.

just go with the ZZP and keep it how it is. if you dont like the way it sounds then i guess switch out the muffler... i dont see why thats necessary though.

Since when did they start charging to make threads on this forum? If you don't like the question don't read it or GTFO.

What makes you so special anyway?

well its not my fault that people don't have enough common sense to call the the people who make the parts to find out the details so they can make up their own minds no instead of doing that they join a forum and make another useless exhaust thread with out searching first and no I dident develop a sleeve saab did that I was just smart enough to get a better copy made at a cheaper price
