valves hit pistons when timing jumped doing timing chain tensioner change ( dont ask ) Anyways all 8 valves are bent. but I want to know if the little nicks in the pistons are going to affect anything?

Umm, Was there any logic behind that? I'm already rebuilding the head as we speak with new intake valves rockers and valve lash adjusters, And I'm just curious to see how much meat is on the high part of the piston I would think the ringlands were the weakpoint.

Edit: all stock no mods

Shitty, a great excuse for a piston swap. LE5 stock pistons from Rockauto are $160, but I couldn't find stock LSJs for ya. I've been in contact with Wiesco Canada, this is for LE5 but the LSJs are cheaper than JEs

$575 CAD for a set of 4 with rings, pins and clips. Skirt coating is
available. $15.00 per piston.

Best regards,

Valve and Piston impact. Not sure but id be afraid of damage beyond whats obvious. The shock could have cracked the piston beyond what the naked eye can see alone. Maybe connecting rod bushing damages, wrist pin bent? Cracked? Connecting rod bearings? Timing chain stressed? Sprockets damaged?

Note, This all happened at idle. it was no 7000 rpm grenading of the engine. I just finished replacing all intake valves rockers and valve lash adjusters. All my valve seats looked fine head should be ready to go back on.

silly daily driver, should get a honda fit or something <--- complete sarcasm
