Quick Question.
Hey guys. I am looking at a 2005 Cobalt SS for sale, and I looked at a picture of the engine, and it looks like there's something missing. Can anyone tell me if something is missing, and what it is? Thanks!
Spectre DIY intake = garbage
That fuel rail cover is cut right over the schrader valve, which should have a black cap over it, suggesting that the fuel delivery line was tapped for the fuel solenoid for a n2o kit. Or he just really felt the need to leave the fuel gauge on there all the time
Do a compression test before you even make an offer on that thing. Also look to see what pulley the blower has and what injectors are in it.
Oops, looks like I lied. The price on this one is $10,950. Another one I was looking at was $10,499. But here's a link so you guys could possibly figure out more on the car, see if you can spot anything wrong, and/or tell me what you think. 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt - Plainfield Auto Sales, LLC Plainfield, WI
Jesus these guys are overpricing these cars. Wouldn't even consider paying more than 9k for an 05, especially being non G85, even with low miles. Plus looks like it's had more than a little modding done. At least has GM stg 2 pulley, I can see the blue bolts on the pulley. Probably left the cover off when changing injectors.
Hmm. Ugly wheels, wingless trunk, no back seats, exhaust is crooked which means its either altered or aftermarket, crappy window tint, PCV is improperly vented with a cheap filter on the valve cover, stage 2 pulley bolts / different pulley, fuel rail cover altered (possibly for n2o), and ignition coil cover missing
Based on what I see, It should throw a CEL for atleast P0171. If it doesn't that means someone put a non-GM tune on it to compensate for the skewed maf readings that result from improper PCV and cheap intake.
Run away.

The pulley looks like its snmaller then stock. Check the injectors...
Keep in mind dealerships like to reflash PCMs to stock
So if you get it, youll probably get a CEL and itll probably need a tune.

I'm in the Ashwaubenon area, by Austin Strabel Airport. I drive an 01 Grand Am GT. But I am looking to upgrade, and want a 5-speed, and I test drove a supercharged 'Balt and a feaking love it!
Anyways, just incase you're curious, this is my car:

Yea. I've been looking on Craigslist daily. I look on the Green Bay, Appleton, and the Sheboygan one. I cant find anything that I like, or that is reasonably priced though.
