You don't need to get an exhaust right away or an intake. You car will breathe better when you do, Its not a must

yup don't need an exhaust or intake right away, but they do help a lot. If you want to keep warranty though, stay with GMPP parts (don't have an intake though). and get everything dealer installed

none... eventually, especially with stage II, you'll throw a MAF fail high freq code. I found the cobalt-addiction one to be better with the CEL due to the fact they retain the stock airbox and just change the piping (3") and the filter

leave the intake stock, or have someone with hp tuners raise the maf fail freq to 12000hz. I know stage II bumps it up to 11,000hz so you might be ok.

the intake is for the 2.4 ss and the 2.2's not the ss/sc unfortunatley. Crate engine depot usually gets great prices on the GMPP stuff. You should check them out first

Buy your stage 2 and exhaust from crate engine depot, they have the best prices and service anywhere. My stage 2 and exhaust is on its way here as we speak! Hopefully it'll get installed this week.

PS-I don't want to start a big flame war but my K&N intake has never thrown a code and it makes the blower really loud. I love it! Actually I'm kinda sad that I won't be able to hear it as much once the GMPP exhaust goes on.

what are your plans for your car? are you going to run it at the track or off the line alot or do you want extra power just incase you get into little 40mph roll racing?? depending on what you are going for depends on the mods you are going to need.

not all cobalts will throw a code.. depends on avg temps, elevations, air density... etc etc. But I have seen some that do and some that don't/ Just around here in NY at an elevation of like 30 ft above sea level, it tends to trip the code
