when pressing on the blower pulley hub on all the directions say not to put pressure on the housing if this is so. how in the world do you press this thing on?

Use a pulley installer/remover. I have no idea how to press it on without putting strain on the housing.

 

i endeded up using a power steering puller installation kit it was a cheap one so it broke. so i ended up getting a mac tools one and it worked fine but what a pain in the ass. the cars at the dealer as i speak.
