Race Fuel?

Hey guys,

I own a 07 ss-sc with stage 2 kit. I'm getting my car ready for the race this weekend and I was wondering about 100+ octane fuel. I couldn't find anything on the site so if anyone can help me with that, would be great.:

thanks

no advantage to it unless your vehicle is tuned for it. octane is only resistance to detonate

be sure you run unleaded too, unless you're using it like you would methanole/water injection. VP fuels has a new C10 unleaded. roughly 105 octane.

You're better off drinking the race gas than pouring it in your gas tank.

Race Fuel

Unless you have stage 3 and can put it into 100 octane mode then it may actually hurt you. 100 octane burns slower and I just had a test where it caused an engine to loose 2 HP at the top end due to the slow burn.
