rebuilding

Looking to rebuild my lsj. Car has a lil over 100k miles and I'm looking to put a tvs on after the rebuild. Can anyone help me in what parts I would need to make this happen. My end goal is 330ish hp. Thanks

That's pretty vague there. I mean, rods, pistons, sleeves. Valve springs, cams, might as well port and polish the head while you have it off.....

Does it need a rebuild or does it still run? 330hp is just fine for the stock motor, and im sure it can hold up to a tvs. 100k isnt a ton

I'm at 85K and am not worrying about building it. You'd need to push the TVS decently far to need a rebuild. I'll be getting mine in, in about a month, planning on around 350hp and am not worrying at all. Unless it needs done, I would leave it alone.

The engine runs good still. I jus dont want to blow it after modding it heavily.

For example, porting the head n possibly mild cams along with a tvs. Is that not stressing the bottom end at all?

Anything with a tvs will be perfectly fine with the stock bottom end and a good tune, unless youre looking to push close to 400whp.

If youre only looking for about 330whp, you probably wont even need cams or a ported head. Just sayin

With a good tuner it should be good but if you want piece of mind throw some diamonds in there and total seal rings. You should message lsjion about getting your head ported he does great work and half the price of others

you don't just ******* throw pistons and rings in before you do that you need to worry about the condition of the bores and such

I thought pulling the block and having it machined was implied
