Recaro Question..

Are the Recaro seats cloth?? When i see them in pictures they look like cloth, why would you pay more for cloth when you can get leather??(besides the LSD)

They had a mesh material to hold you in place, plus they have much more support

when you throw in besides LSD there is just no answer. they are more comfortable and form fitted more for skinny people. but I personally didn't like them they were nice in some spots but squeezed my fat ass when sitting in them in other spots.

Well, I definitly do not regret getting my SS/SC with the G85 package! The seats are really nice and supportive...The seats are trimmed with leather and the center is the mesh material, but you still have leather rear seats as well....

I don't like them that much, they feel like somebody is touching you all the time.

Most of the recaro seats are leather . Only area u see in pics thats grippy mesh cloth are the light grey area . The black areas may appear to be cloth in some pics because because the sheen of the leather on the Recaro's is pretty low shine ( because it better grade leather over the stock seats ) , compared to most of the cheap looking GM leather that wears and looks shiny after sitting it 2 times .

I love my recaros . But , I would recommend anyone ordering a SS , to sit in them before buying though . The bolstering is pretty firm and from the reaction of people who have rode in my car , for some body types the seats are horrid . My buddy Jon is 6'2 / 230 lbs and he absolutely detests the recaros in my car .

I completely agree. You either love them or you hate them. But if you want the LSD, you don't have much choice unfortunately. I am extremely happy with my recaro's, and especially when I heard about the lower grade leather used in the non recaro seats. Lots of people are having problems with the leather stretching and looking like hell after just a matter of weeks.

I absolutely love the recaro seats!
I could see how a larger+wider person would not like them, but I love how they hold you in place, every other vehicle I drive/ride in now I feel so loose and not secure at all (such as the pt cruiser we have at work, and my dad's 2002 bonneville. etc.)
I do think that for very long road trips the recaros could possibly be a bit too firm for many people.

yeah, that sucks.
I got mcdonalds one day and sat the bag on the passenger seat...
got home and it turned out that some of the fries were down in the bottom of the bag and oil soaked through the bag and onto my seat
I'm still trying to get that fully out of the seat

I've taken my car on 2 long trips (600 km each way) and i had absolutely no probems with the Recaros causing any stiffness or anything. Where i have had problems before in other car seats on long trips.

I look forward to sitting in my car cause it feels like the seats straighten out my back. I would've never purchased the car without the Recaro's

p.s. You americans gotta stop eating your fast food especially in your car, I hate the smell that crap leave's in my car.

i find it stupid that GM offers the seats with the G85 package. What do seats have to do with LSD anyway?... there should be two options (like in the past w/the 80s SUVs), you can get G85 and AAB seat package seperate....

I think the LSD should have been standard, but the seats an option because not everyone likes or fits in the Recaros. They feel kinda funny at first cause you actually sit into them, rather than on them.

thats actually my bid on ebay, thats as high as I'm going so if I get outbid Too bad. I just have the ebony sport cloth in my ls and the driverside seat is already kind of f'd up just with normal wear and tear. So if I win them I have new seats and if I dont oh well.
