How come in Need for speed most wanted i can leave it in any gear and the car keeps going it doesnt shutoff like my car does and im drivin the Cobalt in it too. Is there anything i can do so that if i wanted to just leave it in second gear and drive at redline i can?

..b/c it is a videogame, it is diff from reality... you dont run from 20cops smashing into there cars, in real life and expect to just get a fine the first 5times you do it do you... and besides you wouldnt want to spend an extended duration @ redline it could be harmful to the motor, but if you insist on doing so i guess you would have to put it at redline and just hold the gas perfectly to stay there. So no there is no way to hit the rev limiter and just sit there, b/c the rev limiter is computer controlled, thats y it bounces when you hit it...?

 

ah ok, there must be some way of changing the programming for the cars computer to stay at redline maybe?

Thrid...if you really are that eager to drive around at redline like in your video game, get an MSD DIS4 Ignition, set the ignition rev limiter to 6400rpm (just under factory fuel cut) and rev away. It will bounce off the limiter like a civic and make that really cool sound just like in the game that goes baa ba ba baaaa ba bang pop baa baaaa baaaa....you like that? do ya?

424 posts and your asking a question like this... you should read more, post less.. maybe it would be a good idea to just take the rev limiter off your car completely let you run it into the ground @ +8K RPMs. then you will be to poor to buy a new car b/c u have the cobalt payment, plus you will be off the road not endagering the life of ppl b/c u wanna try stupid **** with a 5spd...
