First. Off what misfire code? The omega original p0300 check grounds, gap of plugs and if it is blinking it means u r fuking with emmisions.meaning ure cat. So very bad.. check compression check fuel injector resistance, harness coil packs ecm connection and full wire.harness....... I know.just becausei know. Oh wait every one should .......

it could also be a coil pack going out check the spring inside of the coil pack (at the end of the rubber boot) and see if its corroded personally iv never seen this on my car or another lsj but there is always that possibility that i dont see anyone else suggesting. happens all the time on fords

hmmmm a random misfire codes mean its affecting all the cylinders, meaning its not specific to any cylinder. Think about it this way dude.

1-What are the odds of all the coils going bad at one time ? not that high unless ur have a ish loads of miles on ur car. So lets set this on the side for a while.

2- If its affecting all cylinders, did you check your AFR ?! do u have a wideband ? u might not be getting enough fuel , maybe ur fuel filter is clogged or ur pump is dying, try some duel system cleaner in the tank a couple of times. see if that helps, checking ur AFR will tell you if ur getting enough fuel.

3- Last thing are your coils and plugs getting anough power from the battery, when was the last time you changed your battery, believe it or not ur battery might not as good as it used to be and might be causing problems. however its only at WOT so its prolly the last thing possible.

4- Possible Bad Harness, Ground, MAP Sensor not reading right... Or PCM issues...Possible Just gotta check....

Just my 2 cents im not the most experienced guy in the world and others might have other ideas too

i see what your saying about the coils, ill run some cleaners and look at the fuel filter. How do i do that on the LSJ? and would anything of these things break the porcelain on the plugs? because that is whats happening

Here's the how to for the fuel filter :

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-...ictures-51977/

This is what happened to mine when i had to replace the engine, it looks like that and it got emptied in the middle, the piston decided to throw it out of the head, parts of the plug got stuck in the head and messed the cylinder up ! my bad cylinder was number 3 and number 4 just a little bit. And can you please take pics of ur bad plugs ! thanks

ok, well how would these things break the spark plugs? i feel like it would just not run well if it was one of those things. Could it be something bad internally?

If ur running lean u will have ubnormal combustion which might cause the plug to blow out and cause other severe damage..., another thing that i might look into is the tune...get ur car logged and u'll prolly figure out whats happening....

well it started to shoot out white smoke...so i was thinking head gasket leak which would ruin the compression, creating this misfire problem. Thoughts?

if u got a cat its prob fucked if your check engine light has been blinking. when it blinks its a catalyst damaging misfire. meaning a **** load of fuel (or oil in your case i guess) going into your cat, melting it.

Future reference for anyone posting on any forum about a misfire, please post pictures of your spark plugs. Its most helpful if they're posted right after doing a wot pull.
