reverse grind issue?

hi, im actually pretty new to the forum seeing as i just got my car about a week ago, anyways
i know a decent amount about the cars so im not going into this completely blind lol. well my issue is that every once in a while ill go to put my car into reverse and although it will go in it will grind a little when popping in, is this something can be fixed by adjust shift cables?
also ive noticed that if i wiggle the shifter from left to right a few a times then pop it in reverse and its more likely to go in without a grind.
thanks for any feedback!

mine does the same once in a while. i have had cars do it in the past. so i have been in the habit of putting it in first then reverse. i think its just the rpm's being up a little.

just put it in 3rd then reverse, problem solved. The input shaft just needs to be slowed down before going in reverse.

make sure the car is at a dead stop before putting into reverse along with shifting into a forward gear first.
