Rougher ride since new

Anyone notice that the ride quality of their car has decreased since new. I have 10,000kms on my car and absolutely baby it over the bumps but I find that the car has a much harsher ride. I have had many cars in the past with low profile tires and I realize that you will feel a lot more things on the road but i'm finding that the car is getting clunky over the bumps. Anyone notice this, or is there anything I can say to the dealer?

Hmm... time to get up under there and make sure the shocks aren't busted or leaking.

Your ride will also suffer as your tires wear. You'll be amazed at how much your ride quality goes up when you get a new set of tires.

yeah, tires make a huge difference. i've got somewhere around 22,000 miles on my car, and i don't notice a big difference, which to me tells me everything is wearing properly. its when you notice a huge change that you need to be a little worried i think.

I'm at 38,000 miles and the new tires were good for ride comfort.
However, seems like as soon as I hit 30K, rattle and squeek city.

I have one coming from behind the drivers seat that drives me nuts.
Seems as though great initial quality will be over ridden by long term sub-quality.
Which is a shame.

Dont get me wrong, I still love the car.... it performs perfectly, even with almost 40K miles on it.

I am just a little saddend that my nice quiet ride isnt so much anymore.

same thing for me. i gotta tell you that my tires are like slicks now. my car ride rougher :/

make sure to test you steering wheel column tho, when mine was deffective. i was feeling every damnn bump on the road into my steering making the ride ALOT MORE rougher than it was. have that verified, wen you car is stopped, engine stoppped, make some rapid left to right turn with your steerring wheel, listen and if you can hear some clucking noise coming from behind your steering, there is a problem right there. you will feel every single bump you hit trough the steering.

I'm at about 10,000K and this one is starting to come up, but only on rough roads.. it drives me INSANE! I've made my gf sit in the back to try and find it and she has no luck I wish she could drive manual so I could get back there.

I have done the same. I have had multiple people back there (none of whom drive a stick BTW ) and we cant figure it out.

If only I could be back there.

Well, if you figure it out, let us know!
