S/charger Gasket!

k so im getting stage 2 installed and the guy ******* calls me from the dealership and says that they were trying to get the supercharger off (he kept saying turbo i didn't bother saying otherwise) and so he says that as they were trying to get it off the gasket stuck to the manifold and broke and they gonna get me and new one but im the one who has to pay for it and they're charging me 72$ ..now i don't think that its fair that i have to pay for it my cousin works at a dealership around here and he says that usually if its a gasket then they have to pay for it but i mean c'mon 72 $ for a ******* supercharger gasket? like seriously

Normally you would be accountable for the gasket. There is no way of knowing that it would come apart like that. However, that gasket is about $37 at most places. Well, even Intense sells it for that, anyway.

so order the cheaper one and tell them to use it.... or do you need the car tonight? (which I'm assuming they're counting on...) also...don't ever let someone who doesn't know the difference between a supercharger and a turbo touch your car ever again. I guarantee you it was his fault, and nothing to do with the car.

like mentioned above there is no way of telling if it'll come apart...in the stage 2 instructions it mentions that a new gasket might be required......some need it some don't...i've had the s/c off the car around ten times and I'm still using the gasket that came on the car, but I can see where if it gets heated enough and stuck to the manifold where it could break if you had to pry at it to get it off.......
