Set a new MPH record!

Took the Cobalt to the track tonight. Fought traction all night, 60's ranged from 1.89 to 1.95, ran 13.2 to 13.3 at 106.5 to 107.5mph! all night. Previous best mph was 106.3. Every pass i gained at least 23.5MPH in the back half with a couple gaining 24+. The last pass of the night, final round in the brackets, I dialed 13.30 do to bad traction, spun a little on the launch but not bad, 1.92 60'
car felt strong! Caught the guy by 3/4 track and coasted thru the finish line thinking i had it won. His win light came on and i was like WTF!!!!
Looked at the slip, i went 13.1@99mph!!!!! my 1/8mile was 8.4@84.6!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALL other runs have been 82 to 83.4 mph. That would have been a 108mph run in the 1/4!!!

I figured out on the way home why it was running so much stronger. Once i re-verify it, i will share with you all.

On a side note, the new INTENSE tranny mounts ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No need for an engine mount!! Just install these 2 mounts and your shifting/banging/wheel hop issues are gone!!!

Slight vibration at idle and on accel but smooth as stock at cruise! Car feels 1000times more solid under shifts now. It lurches forward when shifting instead of banging the firewall like stock 99.99 pair at INTENSE All you need are these 2 mounts and the bushings in the control arms anf you are good to go!

Hey fast06ss,
Talked to you about getting stage 3 when I return from kuwait and tuning it with my nitrous setup. Congrats on the mph by the way. Is the hptuner software going to take the place of the maf-t in the kit? I allready have it planned to come up there either way, but do i need to go ahead and get the software or can you guys just get the credits and tune it for me there? I was gonna get it that way I can make minor adjustments if I add anything else after what I have when i come up there to get this all installed.
Sorry about going off topic guys...

No good questions...!! Does the HP Tuners software eliminate the need for a MAF translator and/or even the GM REFLASHES?

The HPTuners replaces GM flash. I stil recommend the MAFT so you can make minor adjustments to compensate for weather changes. I would prefer to tune your car as feel more comfortable knowing it was done right. No offense to you.
