Shifter Cable Removal/Install
Shifter Cable Removal/Install
I had a new Trans put in a few weeks ago. Ever since, my shifter in 2nd, 4th, and Reverse has felt loose and sloppy. I blamed it on having a new trans.
Turned out being that the shifter cable on the transmission side (not under the actual shifter) broke. There's a black plug of some sort that came apart around the cable, but doesn't hold in place any more, thus causing me to have lost 2nd, 4th, and reverse.
I ghetto rigged it up so I could at least use it to make it to and from work/school.
I purchased some new shifter cables (the whole assembly, since this end apparently cannot be removed on its own) and was hoping some one around here had some tips on how to actually remove the cables them selves.
Any and all help is appreciated.
