TWM Performance makes one that about 199.00 and they work awesome the only other one that is still available would be the Hurst and they run about 158.00 Both good products however the twm shifter comes with billiet busing for the shifter house firms it up a bit. It all depends on what you want out of it they both work about the same other than that.

^I am also looking to get one. I saw that TWM has a better rating and such, but I really hate how the shift knob looks on the 199.00 one (the only one i saw anyway). Its plain with cheap engraving, do they sell different styles? Does not have to have the 1-2-3-4-5-R icons on it, I think we all know where the gears are by now.

I have a weird question, can I re-use the stock shift knob on ether of these? I like the look of the stock shift knob right now.

The stock **** knob will not work they both attacj differently. The stock shift knob is held on by a nut and the other shift knobs screw right on. TWM does have different shift knobs when you order you can select a different knob but dont get it twisted the twm shifters are awesome I had one in my 07 LS and work fantastic they just arent mych to look at for looks and performance as well as price go with the Hurst.

I dont know about the ark havent heard good or bad about them but it doesnt show the percentage that it it shortens thre throw just the shortened height amt. But if your going for looks, it does look pretty cool. I personally still like the Hurst shifter for looks and for thier history of making awesome shifters.

I bought the Short throw from Genuinesaab.com and their aluminum bushing kit. I think it was a lil under $85 shipped. I love it. it feels way better than it did before. Only scary part is that you gotta cut the stock shifter, but once you get past that and finish install its great. I honestly dont think i would of gone any other way.

I have the TWM with their weighted knob, and bushings.

It's a great shifter.

Thanks for the great feedback everyone!

Also, the shift knob that come standard with the short shifter is available with or without the engraved shift pattern.

Well, no doubt about it. It looks like every agrees... TWM = WIN! I know it's a little more pricey than the other shifters out there right now but I'm sure everyone will agree that it is money well spent! You won't regret getting it if you choose to. Good Luck OP.

I can vouch for TWM. Full of win! Get the weighted knob and the bushings. I think they are coming out with a cable linkage kit as well some time.
