I absolutely HATE my hurst shifter, I believe it slowed me down in the quarter because if you shift too hard it jumps the gear. But I threw my stock **** away.... damn it..... so I am saving up to buy a completely new stock "short shifter" and have the dealership install it so it will be like new again. But that is just my two cents.

hmmm. My hurst shifter is so much better than the stock one imo. The hurst is a sturdier piece and it feels nice and solid when shifting.

that may be true, but the reverse lock out kinda ate the plastic and doesn't act like the original, oh well, I really liked the stock one anyway....don't really know why I changed in the first place..... I also liked the feel of the stock one, I got used to it at the track anyways, then had to relearn the hurst one. Missing shifts, NOT COOL!!!!!!!! lol But it is all up to you buddy, these gentlemen have had wonderful luck with it, and I haven't, but then I have had wonderful luck on my 2.79" stage 2, where as others have not....I think that you have to take it at an individual case by case basis.....
