Short throw shifters

Has anyone ever purchased and installed one of the TWM short throw shifters...If so, was it worth the money and are they better than the B+M or Hurst ones? I've been looking at these for a while but have no clue which one is better for the buck being they are all the same price.

Hi JonnyBiggzSS,

We've been working all week at finalizing the short shifter for the Cobalt SS SC, everything went fine and the production short shifter should be ready in the next few weeks. We will have more details soon!

The short shifter we have listed on the website is for the non-SC Cobalt, so far we've had great feedback on this product.

Thanks,

Frank

johnnybiggzss, what cobalt do u have? SS n/a or ss supercharged or turbo charged? all depends the ss supercharged, then u got a few options, b&m, hurst, and now thank god, TWM, or if u have base SS n/a then u got TWM which has had no negative feedback. i might be getting rid of my B&M for the TWM.

Pretty much a shifter is a shifter...does the same thing just the throw might be less. It's not really going to help you a whole lot...just a little stiffer than stock (from the bearings)

B&m reduces throw 33%
Hurst 28%
Not sure about the twm but the deal is this, it all depends on what you're comfortable with...I have the b&m with no problems and it feels great; unless the twm one is adjustable I probably wouldn't buy it. B&M owns hurst so they're the same quality just hurst is taller and has a better metal knob if I'm correct.
